Is the Rebel T1i the Smarter Choice?

If your someone who is interested in technical data as you see it, the Canon Rebel SLR T1i has a 15.1MP image sensor, and the more expensive Nikon D90 has a 12.3mega-pixel image sensor. If these specifications have you needed, then it would be reasonably obvious that the T1i Rebel SLR is the best digital camera for the money today.

The fact that only in the light of the numbers, you do not understand the big picture here. Bigger is often notbetter.

Megapixels is often a large part of the sales of digital cameras, Fuji, Nikon and other manufacturers know that only too well. As for the Rebel SLR T1i, the merchandising department seems to be the design team have invented.

The APS-C size image sensor T1i SLR employed, is a tiny hair used as the DX image sensor of the Nikon D90. Obviously, there are a couple of approaches to squeeze extra pixels in a smaller sensor. With tinier pixels, and cottoncloser working together. A more accurate indicator of the photo quality than megapixels, is pixel density. In this case, the D90 SLR comes with much better numbers (lower is better) of 3.3 compared to 4.5 for the Canon Rebel T1i.

There are several concerns to think if it is a digital SLR camera that has high pixel density. How do you go in search of additional lenses, you will quickly learn that more megapixels more money for the expensive lenses. The lenses designed tobe used with high megapixel digital camera that are designed to dissolve better, and taste almost always.

For some reason the lens that's usually supplied (EF-S 18-55mm f / 3,5-5,6) by Canon with the T1i not heard of those who is at higher megapixel administration. Canon is capable takes, in fact, the lens would be a better match for the Canon Rebel T1i, including the EF-S 18-200mm Canon.

If that alone were not bad enough, you should made aware that high pixel can be a disadvantage for dynamic range, ISO, and diffraction as well. On further examination, it appears that our first impression was of the Canon Rebel T1i be easily missed more bang for the buck.

A camera industry banking brand used to raw sensor information to test the measure DxOMark. Testing between the Canon 50D SLR (same image sensor of the Rebel SLR T1i used) compared to the Nikon D90, shows the D90 Digital> SLR too much more capable. I have no doubt that T1i DxOMark tests wll almost identical to that of the current EOS 50D test data currently available.
